NESMUK DIAMOR® :
MADE TO LAST FOREVER
Nesmuk DIAMOR® is a revolution that combines expertise, experience and advanced materials in a unique way. In collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Material and Beam Technology in Dresden, the blade is hollow-ground on both sides and a diamond-like carbon (DIAMOR®) coating is applied on one side to maximise the blade’s edge retention.Read more...
The coating thickness is only 1.5 μ, yet its extraordinary hardness is five times higher than the hardness of the blade’s steel. This DIAMOR® coating provides the knife with its unbeatable cutting performance, while the steel – which is sharpened on one side – serves as a carrier medium. The solid silver collar and the aesthetic precious wood or top-quality micarta handle serve to underline the handcrafted excellence.
Every Nesmuk DIAMOR® knife comes with an exclusive, black semi-matt wooden box and a fine, black semi-matt lacquered wooden sheath. The sheath protects the user from injury and the cutting edge against damage and blunting.
DIAMOR® is a registered trademark of the Fraunhofer Institute for Material and Beam Technology, Dresden. It may only be used by the Nesmuk company for hand-held knives. Nesmuk DIAMOR® delivers excellent and long-lasting sharpness. The DIAMOR® coating has a hardness of 5,500 Vickers.
